This station built in 1939 replaced the Central Station located next door, which is now home to the Coronna's Supermarket. The Companies operating out of Pearl Street protect the largest population center in town and also the second smallest in overall square milage. The district is made up of multi-family homes, industrial complexes, a main rail line, a large retail district with a covered mall complex as well as Interstate 91 and many apartment / condo complex's. Once home to the Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Mills, the area is rebounding from years of neglect and decline.
