Thousands of people have attended the removal of Brian Murray in Bray, Co Wicklow.
Mr Murray was one of two part-time firemen who died in a fire in the town last Wednesday. They died when the roof of a disused factory collapsed on top of them.
Earlier today thousands attended the funeral of Mark O'Shaughnessy. The Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace overflowed with mourners for his funeral mass this morning.
Firefighters from New York joined Mr O'Shaughnessy's colleagues from fire stations and Civil Defence Units around Ireland to pay their respects.
Local public representatives were joined by the Minister of State with responsibility for the fire service, Tony Killeen, and Minister for Europe and Wicklow TD Dick Roche.
The Garda Commissioner and the Chief Fire Officer were also among the congregation.
Mr O'Shaughnessy was buried in Springfield Cemetery.
The remains of Mr Murray were brought to the Church of the Holy Redeemer in Bray at 5.15pm this evening. His funeral will take place tomorrow after 11.30am Mass in the Church of the Redeemer in Bray.
Gardaí have warned of serious traffic restrictions in Bray this evening as a result of the removal.
There will be heavy traffic restrictions in the area of the Dublin Road and Castle St between 5pm and 7pm. Motorists are advised to use the southern access point to Bray.
The funerals coincide with the start of National Fire Safety Week.
